Egypt: Sisi Meets EAAF Head to Review National Projects

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Saturday 2/1/2016 met with head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces (EAAF) Maj.-Gen. Kamel el Wazir along with EAAF's senior officials and advisers.

 
Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said the meeting covered the national projects that are carried out by the EAAF in cooperation with public and private sector companies.
 
Wazir reviewed a general outline of the Galala City project that will be established on the top of Mount Galala, about 700 meters above sea surface.
 
The city will house King Abdullah University, an international medical compound and residential areas, as well as a tourist resort, he said.
 
The meeting also dealt with tunnels that are being dug to connect the east and west banks of the Suez Canal, a project to develop East Port Said harbour and developing the national road network in Sinai.
