Kenya: Thika Sh0.5 Billion Mall to Open in December

Thika's Ananas Mall in Makongeni, Kiambu county, will open in December, one of its directors, Chetan Shah, said yesterday.

The mega mall has been built at a cost of Sh500,000 on a six-acre plo. Shah yesterday told journalists the mall will be a family and tourists destination.

The businessman, whose family has been in Thika for the last 100 years, said the mall will offer unique services to the town, its environs and Kiambu county in general.

Shah said the mall's 350 car parking lot will ease congestion and parking space challenge in the town. "We want to identify ourselves with Thika by offering unique services to our people, including children. Our services will be family and tourist oriented," he said.
